https://creatingcommunicators-mindy.blogspot.ca/2018/05/little-stories-pro-app-review.htmlYou can read the stories, read to the student from the app or the student can read it themselves.  There are also flash cards for each story that you can use to practice artic sounds or tackle those tricky words. I like this app for those kids are at carrying over and reading stage. I love that you can work on new vocabulary with the stories, and story retell. It is such a great app that I almost want to use it all day long!

In the app, you can also keep score on their reading, and their articulation errors in the story. So easy!

TouchChat

Did you know about TouchChat? I have kids who have been working on it, and I recently attended a day of training using the app. It was a perfect day, and I learned a lot about how to use the app and got some great info.

Did you know that you chat editor and make and edit pages and then upload them to the app? For example, I wanted to make a generic page for all of my kids to start on. It is so easy! Using Chat Editor with TouchChat
Chat Editor is a supplemental program that runs on a Windows desktop or laptop computer. It allows you to customize vocabulary files. Although customizing is also possible on the device itself, the Editor allows the family and professionals to customize the vocabulary when the device is not present.

According to SAC

Many of us take our ability to communicate for granted, but the ability to speak, hear and be heard is much more vital to our everyday lives than most of us realize. For those who have difficulty communicating, everyday interactions can pose significant challenges. A communication disorder may prevent an individual from performing well at work, asking for help, hearing instructions at school or even saying ‘I love you’.
Each year, Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) dedicates the month of May to raising public awareness about communication health. We work to highlight the importance of early detection and intervention in the treatment of communication disorders, and the role that our members and associates play in helping people to “Speak well. Hear well. Live well”.

There are so many resources on the SAC website like posters, and Info sheets and much more, check it out!
